About eCLOSE
eCLOSE is a research and education organization incorporated in 2019 with a mission to make medically relevant scientific discoveries through an educational platform that embraces equality and empowers participants to contribute ideas, life experience, and experimental data to improve disease treatment.
Their vision is a transformation of the biomedical workforce to include the life experiences of scientists from every racial, ethnic, and economic background. Their participants are primarily students who have been marginalized from research opportunities, limiting intentional efforts to address health disparities in underserved communities.
eCLOSE’s research training programs span from in-person sessions in the eCLOSE Institute lab and local classrooms to national virtual-hybrid programs, many of which are sponsored by host institutions and the American Cancer Society.
